About the Author:

Q.  Name one entity that you feel supported you outside of family members.
A.  My team at the Center4AsthmaAllergy

Q.  Do you see writing as a career?
A.  Yes

Q.  If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest
book?
A.  ** No

Q.  Do you recall how your interest in writing originated?
A.  As a child, I used to look at all the books lined up in the library and think that one day, my books will be looked upon by another child.

Q.  .Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?
A.  Using medical knowledge in layman’s terms and then to translate into a child’s language.

Q.  Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?
A.  I have enjoyed many authors’ creations. Cuurently like TT Rangrajan’s books as they speak to me and resonate with my core values.

Q.  Do you have to travel much concerning your book(s)?
A.  Not yet

Q.  Who designed the covers?
A.  The team of the publisher

Q.  What was the hardest part of writing your book?
A.  Putting story in a child’s language

Q.  Did you learn anything from writing your book and what was it?
A.  It is a skill and can be developed with dedication and practice.

Q.  Do you have any advice for other writers?
A.  Follow your dream. The help is out there.

Q.  Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
A.  Believe that you too can live a great life, allergy-free.

Q.  A lot of authors have been teachers at some point in their lives. They know that unexpected questions can be posed by students at any time, such as “Who are you? A.  First of all, I am a good human being a great citizen of the world. I play my role as a son, husband, father, practicing allergist, team leader,  entrepreneur and an author. Philosophically, I am a spiritual being having a human experience.
  
Q.  What is your writing process? Do you follow a regular routine?
A.  Usually in early AM when it is quite and I am fully focused.

Q.  What are the most important elements of good writing?
A.  Space, silence, routine, passion, commitment

Q.  According to you, what tools are must-haves for writers?
A.  Papers, pen and willingness to write.

Q.  What motivates you to write?
A.  Knowing that my writings will improve lives and will make a difference

Q.  Do you have any advice for other writers?
A.  Have a dedicated space, silence and a routine. Yes, you can do it.

Q.  What were the challenges (research, literary, psychological, and logistical) in bringing it to life?
A.  This is the first of it’s kind so I had nothing to look up or learn from. I needed to learn the logistics involved in getting it published.

Q.  Where were you born and where do you call home? 
A.  I was born in a small town in Western India. I call Long Island, New York my home.
