"Shadows of Pain" by Ashely Dawn {Book Review}

Synopsis:

Revenge is sweet…unless you are on the receiving end of it.

“Do you know of anyone who would want…you dead?”
Officer Daniel Jenkins was no stranger to the dangers his job posed but usually he knew who was trying to kill him. Being stalked was a completely different ball game, and he wasn’t sure there were any rules…

“…I need you.”

Terrified didn’t even begin to describe how Kami felt with the stalker targeting her. As an FBI agent you were trained to handle stressful situations, but being the victim put the whole process in a different light.

As the killer gets closer, so do Kami and Daniel, but will they live long enough to see their love bloom?

Only God can save them from this unknown killer…

About the Author, Ashley Dawn:

Author Ashley Dawn was born and raised in rural Arkansas where she developed her love for writing while helping in her parent's office. She graduated with an accounting degree from the University of Central Arkansas but is currently working as a legal assistant. Ashley has been writing professionally for the past seven years and has three published books. Her first book, Shadows From The Past, was originally published by Tate Publishing and is considered more of a traditionally published book while the second, Shadows of Suspicion, was published by self publication using AuthorHouse. Both have since been published in ebook form through Suspense Publishing along with her third book Shadows of Pain.  She is currently working on multiple projects including the fourth in her ‘Shadows’ series entitled and also a standalone mystery about a serial killer that remains untitled. Ashley also has a review blog to share her love of reading, Ashley’s Bookshelf, where she reads and reviews books of all genres. She and her family make their home in Texas.

What isn't included in my author bio is that I have a family that is completely awesome!  I have been married to a wonderful man for...wow, more than a few years.  I have 2 beautiful children, a son and a daughter.  I am very close to the rest of my family, including my parents, grandparents, siblings, in-laws, nephews & niece.  They are all wonderfully supportive and I couldn't do anything without them.  The picture you see to the left is of me and my children and it is one of my very favorites!  I also love to travel, out of country if possible but also all across the US.  If I could travel to any place in the world, it would be Australia. It has always been a 'magical' place to me and I can't wait to actually see it!  I love to read, pretty much any type of book, but I'm very mood oriented so I need to be in the 'mood' to read a particular type of book.  The outdoors will always be a wonderful place for me and my family to spend time.  The longer I'm on this Earth, the more I realize just how blessed I really am.

Hugs,
~Ashley Dawn

Review:

"Shadows of Pain" is the third book in the 'Shadow Series'.  Ashley pens her characters believable and relateable in this fast paced Christian themed, suspense romance. I suggest starting with the first book in the series, but this book is also good for a stand alone...even though I would feel kind of lost if I didn't start in the beginning.  A good clean read recommended for all readers.

I give "Shadows of Pain" a 4 star rating.
