Is their a fit life after kids? For some of us, there is a struggle to have a fit life after kids. I have been lucky enough to after two kids be smaller than when I first got pregnant but that doesn't mean I'm in as good shape health wise. I needed a kid in the bottom to motivate me to get back into the healthy mind frame. A little guidance on just how to do that never hurt either.
Mommy Moments with Abby's Review of Fit Moms for Life by Dustin Maher:
The book Fit Moms for Life is an amazing book to help motivate you to get fit. It not only offers inspiration but tips on just how to get healthy and have more energy. I personally am glad someone finally came out and said, doing just cardio doesn't make you healthy. For some it can slim them down, but for most you need a bit of cardio and a bit of strength to keep the pounds off. The pursuit of a cardio only workout is why, I think, many people are the "healthiest big person you will meet". It would seem that I am agreed with after reading this book. This book reminded me that I need to approach a workout like I would a meal. You don't just serve meat only or broccoli only at a meal do you? So, after reading this book I remembered to balance my workout the same way I balance my plate, with a little bit of everything.
Each chapter has a tip and then stories of real life woman who have faced their real life weight-loss goals. The motivation from them and some of them calling us out to be honest on our work out habits and approaches can be just the medicine a person needs to re-gear their life's to be healthier. You would think that having a power lifter/ex-trainer for a husband would have me completely geared up for a fit life, but we don't always listen to our husbands when they give good advice do we ladies? So, it took this book to remind me of what I know to be true for working out and to guilt me through the success of the woman in the book to actually put it into practice. I fit into a size 6 Vera Wang Jeans the other day, down a size! I'd say it's working so far. Don't believe me, get the book for yourself or enter to win one here while the giveaway is going on.
